Marilyn
Nase
Regional
Speaker for Stonecroft Ministries
“Whoever
acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father
in heaven.”
MATTHEW 10: 32
It’s
been just a little over two months ago (back in 2005) that Marilyn was
driving up I-75 and then across on I-10 trying to keep the car on the road
as the outer bands of hurricane Katrina brought down blinding rain, driven
by gusts of high winds. All
the while we were both praying that God would grant her traveling mercies
and bring her home safely. Who would have ever imagined the death,
destruction and utter devastation that this killer hurricane was about to
bring to the states along the Gulf coast? Since that trip, hurricane Rita
has wrought additional destruction, misery and despair to the peoples of
the Gulf Coast. We just do not know what the day will bring, but we do
trust in the One who holds tomorrow in His hands.
God, our Father, knows the future and we trust that He is able to
guard and keep us until the day of His Son’s return.
Meanwhile we keep our hand on the plow and keep on testifying of
the blessed hope we have in Christ Jesus.
Marilyn
was on her way back to Tallahassee after having spent three glorious days
on a tour of Central Florida as the guest speaker for three Christian
Women’s Clubs. The first day
was a luncheon at the Hilton Hotel (where horses stay for free) in Ocala.
There were 189 ladies in attendance and seven women prayed to receive
Christ as their Savior. She
also spoke the next morning in Dunnellon for a luncheon at the Rainbow
Springs Country Club. This was
a good size group also and the ladies were delightful.
From the remarks on their comment cards, she is confident that the
Holy Spirit had planted seeds in several hearts that day.
Another night was spent with a really enjoyable couple that made
her wish that Dan had come along. On
the last leg of the trip she drove eastward to the Leesburg Tri-City Club.
The countryside was spectacular with rolling hills covered in oak trees
and orange groves that surrounded picturesque lakes. Once again there was
a great turn out with a group of some really enjoyable ladies, one of
which gave her life to the Lord.
Since
that memorable trip, Marilyn has ventured out once again to speak at three
different Christian Women’s Clubs in Panama City, Lynn Haven and has
even crossed the border to Enterprise, Alabama…folks ”she has gone
international!” The motto of
CWC is to “reach the un-reached within reach” by inviting women to
luncheons or dinners and then have someone share what God has done in
their lives. The Lord our God is using Marilyn mightily to testify of His
wonderful love for us and the grace He has shown by paying the price for
our salvation on the Cross of Calvary some 2000 years ago.
She admits that these experiences are a lot different than
ministering in the prisons of North Florida, but the Lord is moving in
these Last Days, bringing people to Himself no matter the social or
cultural status of the individual…because at the foot of the Cross we
are all the same.
It
makes no difference if you are rich or poor, black or white, man or woman
because God loves souls and we just thank Him that He has seen fit to send
Marilyn into the fields to not only plant seeds but to be so blessed as to
bring in the harvest in these Last Days. To date, nine women have given
their lives to the Lord and are participating in Stonecroft Bible Studies
that are also provided by the local CWC club.
She did receive a letter from the Ocala Club that literally made
her shed tears of joy. The chairman of the club was quite complimentary
and even admitted that Marilyn was “the best witness for Christ that
they have ever had speak”…how about that!
Marilyn will be traveling to the Jacksonville area next month to
speak at two events. Please pray for her as she testifies as to what God
has done and continues to do in her life.
And please pray for Dan, as he is left to fend for himself in the
kitchen. Another week of
peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and burnt pork chops!
We want to thank many of you for
your donations to the Spanish Bible Fund in memory of Dan’s mom, Grace,
who went to be with the Lord July 30th.
She lived with us for over three years and was a blessing.
Each month she enjoyed helping us pack the Bibles for shipping by
placing the address labels on the envelopes.
Because of physical limitations there were many things she was
unable to do, but helping with the Bible mailing gave her pleasure and a
sense of participation in Ministry. We miss mom, but we are at peace
knowing that she is in a much better place because of her testifying that
Jesus, the Christ, had saved her and given her a “mansion in Heaven”
where there will be no tears, nor pain, nor sorrow…but only peace and
joy!
Sending
God’s Word to prisoners is truly “a gift that keeps on giving.”
We truly appreciate your support in giving to this ministry and
it’s a noble endeavor to testify of God’s provision for eternal life
through His Son, Jesus.
In Christian Love,
Dan and Marilyn
